I'm a programming, free software and GNU/Linux enthusiast. I'm also a programmer profesionally, so that works out well.
I was born in The Netherlands, live in Belgium and work for a dutch company. I have been using GNU/Linux since 2008, having settled on Archlinux after trying Ubuntu, Fedora and Zenwalk. I have been using GNU Emacs since not long after switching over to GNU/Linux.
I'm often trying out new wbesites and services on the internet. Especially if they have something to do with code. Here are some of them:
I put most of my projects' code on github.
I'm also occasionally active on gitorious.
A few of my occasional contributions are tracked on Open Hub.
Next to pure coding there are some other things that I find interesting, mostly also relating to coding or otherwise computers.
I am currently reading Art of Assembly Language, 2nd Edition, The Web Application Hacker's Handbook and The Ruby on Rails Tutorial (for Rails 3.2). Other books I have read include: The C Programming Language, On Lisp, Practical Common Lisp, Pro Git, Seven Languages in Seven Weeks, Land of Lisp, Loving Common Lisp, or the Savvy Programmer's Secret Weapon, Dive into HTML5, Head First C, Head First Design Patterns, Autotools, Professional WordPress Plugin Development, Lisp for the Web.
I use the Fantasque Sans Mono font (previously Cosmic Sans Neue Mono) for my terminal emulator and text editor and I use News Cycle for all the non-code text on this website. Other fonts I've used or tried include: DejaVu Sans Mono, Envy Code R, Liberation Mono, Source Code Pro, PT Mono.
